15 years ago, Princess Kelechi Oghene embraces the vision of becoming an entrepreneur with the enthusiasm of raising millions of her form both in Nigeria and also diaspora.
She is the Executive Director of Gmyt Fashion Academy, the Founder of Gmyt Foundation and also the CEO of Gmyt African Humanitarian Awards.
Although, she cited that the lifestyles of an entrepreneur is a journey on a contorted street dotted with bumps and craters. At sure points, the bumps could appear as high as mountains and the pits as deep as lots, making this adventure take place fairly despondent.

In her quest to stand out in the industry, along with her effective appetite for learning, she talked about: “I have attended several workshops, schooling and have bagged a couple of tiers and qualifications from super institutions which are: Executive Degree from Lagos Business School (Owner’s Management Program: OMP24), Degree in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management (IRPM) from Lagos State University, Degree from STC Training Centre – Dubai (UAE) in Human Resources Management Training and an alumnus of London School of Fashion.
All these are to build me up in opposition t achieving the goal which I have set for myself. Every journey begins with one small step.
Demystifying her steps, she noted: “I took that step, seven years ago while I opened a boutique and later ventured into bespoke; those metamorphosed to the Gmyt Fashion Academy of today.

“The one beneficial trait that had proved to be incredibly effective in boosting me out of hitches and deadly pits is ambition. I recognize that too a great deal of it may just corrupt a person, notwithstanding so some distance it had most effective empowered my spirit with lots-needed optimism.

“Over the years, I have been able to conduct free entrepreneurial sessions, seminars and workshops for women and have informed over 300 ladies and countless youths on scholarships, I have singlehandedly empowered 300 women with an Industrial Machine both via my proclaimed Initiative.
“By the grace of God, we have empowered over 300 ladies and youths with industrial sewing machines through my proclaimed Initiative and we have proficient over 500 girls and youths that aspire to be Fashion designers.
“I also felt this is my life, passion, vision, dream and task and I can provide a contribution more to societal growth, that turned into why I organized the SME’s Scheme to help and encourage women and youths with amazing concepts and so some distance, we have given millions of naira to help this movement; I do this because I am a philanthropist and it is in my nature to provide and I desire to encourage everyone to use their positions to help because I consider it starts with individuals.”
Been defined as a innovative in some circles, she mentioned that, “The reason why for all those tasks is that the economic system in Nigeria is no longer handiest relentlessly harsh; it is sadistically cruel. Society has deemed that your faculty tiers do not assure you activity possibilities.
“Today, as I celebrate a new year, searching back at what I have been in a position to achieve, I think proud and still have the urge to do more and God’s willing, I will get there. In a bit to celebrate my birthday, we are giving out 20 scholarships because now more than ever, we need to adopt the habit of giving back to the society so that the global we are living in can become a better place.
